ABOUT ME

I believe that every human life is a sacred journey.

Sometimes our journey can be fulfilling and happy, yet sometimes it is fraught with sadness, fear, anxiety and stress. Sometimes we feel the deep pain of loss or disappointment in our lives, ourselves or others. Sometimes we experience a profound betrayal that can shake us to our core. These are all situations where therapy can help. It is my passion to assist clients through the difficult times in their lives. I became a therapist because I know that with the right support and tools we can heal and make ourselves and our lives better.

I provide a safe, warm and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your feelings and beliefs. You’ll have an opportunity to uncover patterns that no longer serve you and replace them with healthier alternatives. I will gently challenge you to look at yourself and your relationships objectively while practicing forgiveness and acceptance of where you are. With my support you will examine how unresolved issues in your past may be negatively impacting your present day experiences, and learn how resolve them. By doing this work you can move into healthier relationships, better self-care and being at peace inside.

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice with offices in Santa Monica and Woodland Hills, California. Before starting my private practice, I worked as a psychologist for over five years at two L.A. County Department of Mental Health contract locations where I provided psychotherapy to a diverse group of clients with a large range of mental health conditions. Prior to becoming a clinical psychologist I worked for 16 years in Family Law and Mediation assisting individuals and couples through all aspects of the divorce process, and post-divorce issues with stepparents and blended families.

I received my Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpentaria, California, my Master’s Degree from the University of Santa Monica in Santa Monica, California and my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.

I am a member of the American Psychological Association, Los Angeles County Psychological Association, California Psychological Association, Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
